K-Scan™

K-Scan™ uses paper-thin pressure/force/contact area measurement sheets inserted within joints between adjacent articulating bones. The captured interface data provides better understanding of how the contact surface of the articulating bones are functioning, articulating, and loading. Multiple sensor designs are available for use with various joints including shoulder, wrist, knee, and ankle.

For researchers studying joint function and loading or investigating design function of implants and prostheses, K-Scan provides data for objective and quantified analysis of function. For those who want more than the present limited means of obtaining biomechanical information, the K-Scan System is the key to objective quantified measures to support treatment success because it provides more information than other imaging or measurement systems.
